Introduction of CDBIO
Liaoning ChengDa Bio-tech Co., Ltd. (CDBIO); was founded in June 2002, jointly owned by Liaoning ChengDa Co., Ltd. And Liaoning Provincial Medical Equipment Institute. The total investment on the project was RMB 150 million(US$18.8million).

The company has adopted the technology of high density microcarriers in bioreactors from BARI Consultant in USA to produce Vero Cell Rabies Vaccine for human use. The plant has a production capability of 15 million of doses Rabies vaccines for human use annually. Currently, the plant has passed GMP validation issued by SFDA and has sold rabies vaccine in China.
We have staffed over 200 employees,80 of them holding bachelor degree,6 of them holding Master degree and 1 of them holding Doctor degree. The manufacture of CDBIO rabies vaccine was authorized by SFDA in 2004. In 2005, we have sold more than 2 million of doses Rabies vaccines for human use in China.
At the same time, the company has proceeded research on the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine on the basis of bioreactor technology. The sample of Japanese Encephalitis vaccine has finished the clinical trials in 2005. We will begin to sell Japanese Encephalitis vaccine in 2006.
